Who is Project Re:claim?

Project Re:Claim is a ground-breaking, award winning joint venture between SATCol (Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd), the trading arm of the charity, and leading sustainable corporate wear specialists Project Plan B.

Our mission is to lead the way in sustainable polyester recycling, setting new standards for environmental responsibility.

Project Re:claim is a textile recycling partner of the Circular Textiles Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation driving the transition to circularity for the UK textiles industry.

Project Plan B Logo

Project Plan B is a clothing company based in Plymouth, England, that is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Project Plan B use recycled materials, such as recycled polyester, to reduce their environmental impact and is working to create a closed-loop system where garments can be recycled and reused, minimising waste.

They focus on designing, manufacturing, and recycling workwear, aiming to reduce their carbon footprint and promote a circular economy within the textile industry.

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd

Salvation Army Trading Company Limited

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is the trading arm of The Salvation Army in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Established in 1991, SATCoL actively encourages the reuse and recycling of donated clothing and other household items through its over 260 charity stores, and a nationwide network of clothing banks.

With the support of the British public, SATCoL has donated millions of pounds to The Salvation Army to help its work with vulnerable people in the UK (over £100 million has been donated in the last 12 years alone).

With this new technology we can give these clothes a new lease of life. So when your favourite jumper is worn-out, we will take it and turn it into polyester pellets, ready to be turned back into a new jumper. This is the future of fashion.

Together, we are working to bring new solutions and services, at scale, that will help create a textile circular economy.

Head of Environment & Sustainability, SATCoL
